Conference passcode
Security is taken seriously at meetyoo. Particularly confidential conferences can be given additional security with the “Conference passcode” feature. The conference passcode provides extra security during the authentication process as participants enter the audio conference. In addition to their participant PIN, participants have to enter an individual conference passcode issued by the moderator before the conference begins. This conference passcode is only valid for a single audio conference and is then deleted.
To enable the “Conference passcode” feature, you must be a moderator and send an e-mail to kundenservice@meetyoo.de, stating the name of the room owner and the moderator PIN. You will then receive confirmation of the successful activation of your conference passcode. Once it has been enabled, the moderator can use this security feature as required.
Procedure
1. Preparation of the conference
Prior to the audio conference the moderator notifies the participants of the automatically-generated participant PIN and a 4-digit conference passcode of the moderator’s choice.
2. Moderator dial-in
Directly before the audio conference, the moderator dials into the conference room first, giving the moderator PIN.
3. Activation of the conference passcode
In the conference room, a voice menu now gives the moderator the option of activating the chosen conference passcode. This is done by typing in the conference passcode and confirming the entry with the hash key (#). The following pushbutton commands are then available to the moderator:

| *3 | Delete the conference passcode so a new one can be issued |
| *9 | Save the conference passcode and connect the moderator to the conference |
Note: If the moderator does not wish to activate the conference passcode, it is possible to enter the audio conference without a conference passcode by dialling into the audio conference and then entering *9. In this case the conference passcode is not activated and not requested when the participants dial in.
4. Participant dial-in
After activation of the passcode by the moderator, all audio conference participants are asked when they dial in to the audio conference to enter on their telephone keypad their pin followed by the conference passcode that will have been notified to them in advance.
Please note:
A DTMF-compatible telephone (landline or mobile) is necessary for entering the participant PIN and the conference passcode.
